This gorgeous fetish necklace consists of incredibly well-carved turquoise horse beads, separated by turquoise and dark heishi-shaped beads and finished with a sterling silver clasp, in the classic style of Zuni artistans. Known as a fetish necklace, Fetish necklaces were and still are incredibly important decorative objects to the Zuni, as well as other Native American tribes. Animals hold incredible power and symbolism, and horses in particular are enormously important. This is a gorgeous example of this art form and would look stunning on anyone.
