Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?

Someday Jewels is based in Southern California! I do not have a physical retail location – all items are available via this website or my Instagram (@somedayjewels).

How do you authenticate pieces?

I test all of my items for metal purity and stone identification, and use my knowledge of and experience with jewelry to date items.

Please be aware that many of my items are antique, vintage, or estate, and have been worn before. Previous wear may be visible, and I do my best to photograph all angles and details of the piece, as well as disclosing any slight imperfections in the item description.

It is also important to note that due to the age of many of my pieces, the gold or silver may have taken on a slightly darker color, or “patina.” Antique or vintage gold has a different look than contemporary gold. Metals may change color over time due to environmental factors such as exposure to air, water, sweat, or your skin.

Please keep in mind that all stone quality reports and carat weights are estimated.

A piece sold out – will you have it in stock again?

All of my pieces are one of a kind and cannot be duplicated.

How do I know my ring size?

There are various ring sizer you may purchase online, or your local jeweler may be able to size your finger for you.

Can I pay in installments?

Yes — when checking out, please select the “Shop Pay Installments” option. Please note: Rates from 0% APR or 10-36% APR. Payment options through Shop Pay Installments are subject to an eligibility check and are provided by these lending partners: [affirm.com/lenders](http://affirm.com/lenders). Options depend on your purchase amount, and a down payment may be required. State notices to consumers [affirm.com/licenses] (http://www.affirm.com/licenses).

How much is shipping?

Shipping is free for all purchases totaling over $350, or $8 domestic under $350. International shipping is $15 USD.

Shipping insurance is done through Route, a third party application, that protects orders in cases of loss, theft, or damage. Route also provides tracking for your package. When viewing your Cart, Route will not be automatically added to your Cart. If you would like to add Route insurance and tracking, scroll to the bottom of your Cart where it says "1-Click Protect" and click "ADD." Please see the photo below.

Route insurance is available for items of all price points, and costs 1.5% to 5% of your Cart total.

When should I expect my order?

I use the United States Postal Service (USPS) for all packages. Shipping times may vary. I recommend signing up for text alerts or downloading a package tracking app to know when to expect your item. Please note that I am not responsible for any packages after they are marked as “Delivered” by the USPS. For this reason I suggest adding shipping insurance to your purchase.

Do you accept returns?

All sales are final, and I am not responsible for any future wear and tear to items worn over time. I do not accept exchanges. However, if there is something grossly wrong with your piece upon receipt, please contact me immediately and I will be happy to work with you to resolve any problem.

Do you collect sales tax?

As Someday Jewels is located in California, California residents must add 9.5% sales tax to orders shipping within the state, as required by law. For international orders, all Duty fees, Customs, VAT, Import Taxes, or any other port of entry charges owed to a foreign country are to be paid by the customer.

Is my payment secure?

My website is hosted by Shopify, and all payments are processed through Shopify Payments, which is a secure purchasing platform. I will never have access to your personal credit or debit card details. Certain personal details, such as your name, shipping address, email, and phone number will be available to me in order for you to receive your order. This information will not be stored or shared with any third parties.
