This is an incredible piece! These antique enamel flowers are so desirable for any jewelry collector. This flower is a dogwood, which often represents rebirth as the flower is one of the first to bloom in spring, and can also represent purity, faithfulness and hope. It would be an incredibly sentimental gift, and these were often worn by new brides on their honeymoons to symbolize the beginning of their married lives. Victorians and Edwardians believed very strongly in the language of flowers and this is a wonderful example of that! I have included with this a real antique Victorian black ribbon so you can wear it as a choker which is a truly gorgeous look! These Victorian ribbons are also so desirable and hard to find in such good condition since they are over 120 years old! Please note there is a slight amount of enamel loss on the flower (which is to be expected for an item of this age), examine the photos closely as they form part of the condition report.
